South Dakota Fishing –easy access and plenty of fish!

As a booking agent, Gage Outdoor Expeditions has been an unbiased source for fisherman for many years. In the past, Canada had been the destination for anglers to chase after walleye, pike, lake trout and smallmouth bass. We send customers to lodges that fit their budget, to catch the species they are after.

In the last 10 years, that trend had been changing due to some of Canada’s restrictive visitors polices. Numbers of hunters and fisherman from the USA have dropped during this time period.

Enter our Thunderstik Lodge. Well known for its famous pheasant hunting in the fall, the lodge is also located a stone’s throw from the Missouri River, home to some of the region’s best walleye fishing.

Fishing season is a long one- you can fish the Missouri from April- November. The river does hold some monster walleye, but a typical fish boated will be in the 15-20 inch range- great for eating! You will also be able to bring home your limit of four fish a day- frozen and packed for the return trip home.

Come and experience our famous hospitality- well known in the fall- but the word will be spreading about our great summer fishing also, without having to cross borders!
